How to install a customised CentOS operating system on a real machine

  1. Download an image from https://zeus-files.mpp.mpg.de/software/images. It is recommended to download the latest version.
  2. Burn the downloaded image to a DVD disk
  3. Boot your computer from the DVD disk. This will install the customized CentOS on the computer. The installation process is fully automatic. some_text WARNING: This will cause all data loss!
After the end of the installation process, the computer will be rebooted. The system with appropriate ZEUS environment will be ready for a usage. The username/password pairs are stored on the DVD disk in ks.conf file. The network configuration should be done by a system administrator.
